Hanging Basket Competition

What began as an idea to enter the Cobb+Co Museum Hanging Basket Competition became a beautiful child-led journey of noticing, wondering and creating on Country. With the theme of “Spring Adventures”, our Bush Kindy children drew inspiration from the changing seasons, the wildlife around us and, most importantly, the things they were noticing themselves.

From three familiar magpies collecting sticks, to exploring hollows, native bees and the native flowers beginning to bloom, the children’s ideas slowly came together to create our hanging basket. Every little part carries a piece of their connection to Country and to the place they have come to know so well.
